Why did Ramananda Raya faint when Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu revealed to him His identity as Radha-Krsna? He is Visaka-sakhi in Vraja-lila, so he knows these things. So, why did he faint? What is the wonder? The answer is full of rasa.
Krsna was feeling acute pangs of separation, and His viraha bhava heightened to produce a form known as Mahabhava Prakasa, intense feelings of separation from His dear devotees. That form with dilated eyes and shrunken limbs due to ecstasy is Lord Jagannatha.
