Nectar of Devotion

The Nectar of Devotion is a fascinating study of bhakti-yoga, the path of love and devotion to God. It has been practiced for thousands of years by great sages. A highly practical guide, the book covers everything from the beginning stages of the search for truth to the most highly advanced realms of transcendental experience. It goes beyond the limitations of empty religious sentiment and dry philosophical speculation by introducing the reader to the rich treasure house of spiritual thoughts and emotions that accompany true self-realization.

The Nectar of Devotion is a summary of one of India's great spiritual classics, Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu. It was written in Sanskrit during the 16th century by Srila Rupa Gosvami, a great scholar, poet and mystic. After studying all of the great spiritual writings of India for many years, he distilled that profound wisdom into its devotional essence - how to love the Lord purely and experience the highest degree of spiritual bliss.

The author of this brilliant summary study, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is a disciplic descendant of Srila Rupa Gosvami. He is thus the perfect guide to introduce and explain to the inquisitive reader the sublime teachings of this ancient devotional
tradition, bhakti-yoga. One who seriously studies and undertakes this practice will surely attain true fulfillment in his life and understand all of life's mysteries.
