SB1.19 - Appearance of Sukadeva Gosvami (With Purports)

Cursed by a young brahmana boy to die in seven days, Maharaja Pariksit gave up his royal throne and sat by the sacred Yamua River to fast until death.
Hearing of the emporer's imminent demise, all great rsis and sages in the universe appeared there to winess the event, knowing Maharaja Pariksit was an advanced devotee of Lord Krsna.
At last, the learned son of Vyasadeva, Sukadeva Gosvami arrived, and was offered the exalted position of instructing the king about the duty of all human begins, but especially for who is about to die.
